Your kids may have mentioned that I’ve given them homework. I HAVE! I am encouraging each of you to take a few minutes each day to turn on music your family enjoys and dance around the house. This is good on so many levels…
Thanks to those who sent in releases for their children to be filmed while we were dancing as part of our celebration of the International Day of Happiness and in support of Inner Explorer. (2nd video of dancing with Voyagers coming soon)
- Shared experiences of JOY builds strong relationships and makes long-lasting positive memories.
- Dancing is good for your brain.
- It is a wonderful brain break.
- When we dance, we are more connected with our body and how it moves.
- It helps reduce the inhibition of being seen in an open state of being. It builds comfort with vulnerability.
- And so much more!

Poetry Jam next Weds., March 27th, 3:30-5:00 in the Forum
I implore you to support your child in participating in the Poetry Jam. We are writing poetry in class that they can share, they can bring poetry they have written at home, they can recite/read favorite poems and we will have poetry books galore, that they can read from. This is a very valuable and sweet experience on many levels. Bonus: You don’t even need to make an extra trip to campus! RSVP here.
Odyssey of the Mind
The Adventurers are working diligently on their Odyssey projects. The layers upon layers of learning embedded in this work is truly amazing to see. Every single Habit of Heart and Mind is in-play. Our culminating presentation of their Odyssey performances will be on Weds., April 24th at 2pm in the DV Connect Outdoor Amphitheater. Please plan to attend.

Habits of Heart and Mind
Have you lost track of incorporating learning about the Habits in your homeschooling? As a reminder, see the graphic below. Also, know that being able to address the Habits is a requirement of their Presentation of Learning at the end of the year. If you have not already done so, please dive in.
Weds., April 10th at 5:00pm = EXHIBITION!
I can’t wait to see what the Adventurers have to share at Exhibition. Next week, I will send out a Google Form to collect information on your child’s exhibit title and physical set-up.
PLEASE REMEMBER: As you support your child in preparing for Exhibition, please help them be ready to have CONVERSATIONS with visitors about their project. The goal is not for them to do mini-presentations.
WoW After Spring Break
Our first WoW after Spring Break will be ALL-ODYSSEY. After that, we have 6 last Wednesdays together. I am putting the finishing touches on our plans and want to have a conversation with the Adventurers next Weds. to get their input before publishing the final plans. You can expect info and a sign-up next week.
